News 11th January 2021 Building Consultancy

We are thrilled to welcome 20 new joiners into our graduate scheme this week. With six joining in building consultancy and 14 in property management, it’s testament to our strong commitment to investment in future talent.

In these unique lockdown circumstances, we are proud that thanks to the dedication and resilience of our teams, we are able to bring on board new talent within an organised and efficient programme of induction and training that will initially be delivered online.

2021 graduates

The 2021 cohort of graduates will be instructed in areas including; client care, investment strategies, data and risk management, considerations for accessing property for inspection, service charge budgets, credit control and familiarisation with the RICS code of service, even before they begin to shadow their line managers in real-world situations.

Along with training and education from Partners and managers who have been equipped to support their new arrivals remotely, the graduates will also benefit from extensive support of our HR team to help them make a successful start to their career, despite the circumstances.

The new recruits, ten male and ten female, will initially be introduced via an informal online social meeting, involving line managers, with a chance for initial questions to be answered and an opportunity to get to know one another. In the coming months, our structured training programme to develop the graduates towards their APC, will then be delivered online while restrictions remain in place.

The Workman Graduate Scheme

At Workman, we appreciate that people are the drivers of positive change, so the energy, determination, and commitment of our teams – many of whom were originally recruited as graduates – serves as a strong example to these 20 new graduates being welcomed into the 2021 Workman family.
