Workman is proud to be among the first property management and building consultancy firms in the UK to have achieved ISO 22301:2012 accreditation, the internationally recognised Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) standard.
The firm’s already robust systems and processes have been stringently tested by UKAS-registered external auditors, URS Holdings, who awarded the certified accreditation in January 2017.
The achievement highlights Workman’s commitment and ability to continue servicing clients, protecting assets and information, in the event of any incident or emergency affecting one or more of its offices.
Wendy Ibbetson, Partner and Compliance Manager at Workman, commented “In today’s 24/7 economy it is vital that we are able to continue ‘business as usual’ whatever the circumstances.”
For our clients in particular, the accreditation:
- Ensures compliance with legislation, regulators and stakeholder requirements in the event of an emergency scenario, incident or disaster
- Demonstrates Workman’s commitment to protecting our clients assets and information
- Means the continuity of provided services, whatever the circumstances Provides assurance that our processes and systems are as robust as we claim.
Each of Workman’s 11 UK offices has a Crisis Management Team and individual local disaster plans with a detailed action plan on how to cope with any incident. Regular test scenarios will ensure that staff are aware of what to do at all times, depending on internal and external communications with the relevant local authorities.
