News 15th September 2025 Building Consultancy

Workman has appointed Graeme Manley as Senior Associate in our Building Safety and Construction Compliance team. The appointment strengthens Workman’s fire safety capabilities as demand for building safety advisory services continues to grow following the introduction of the Building Safety Act 2022, as reported by Estates Gazette.

Graeme brings eight years of specialist experience from Sovereign Network Group, where he served as Head of Technical for two years before becoming Head of Building Safety for six years. In these roles, he managed construction projects from the client side, successfully completing numerous remediation projects on Higher Risk Buildings.

As a Chartered Building Surveyor for ten years, Graeme has developed a strong technical understanding of fire remediation and building safety. He is an active member of the RICS Fire Safety Working Group, contributing to industry guidance and best practice development.

Graeme will work alongside Amy Farr, Workman’s Head of Building Safety and Construction Compliance, who joined the firm earlier this year as part of our continued investment in specialist expertise.

Amy Farr, Head of Building Safety and Construction Compliance at Workman, said:

“Graeme’s appointment significantly strengthens our building safety offering. His extensive experience in fire remediation and technical delivery will be invaluable as we support clients navigating the complex requirements of the Building Safety Act. His expertise and passion for improving building safety will no doubt prove an advantage to our real estate investment clients.”

Graeme Manley, Senior Associate at Workman, said:

“I’m excited to join Workman at such an important time for building safety. The firm’s commitment to getting the fundamentals right aligns perfectly with my approach to fire safety and remediation. I look forward to working with the team to help clients create safer buildings and ensure compliance with the evolving regulatory landscape.”

The appointment reflects Workman’s ongoing investment in specialist capabilities to meet growing client demand for building safety advisory services. The expanded team can now provide increased resources for technical delivery of fire remediation schemes and expert guidance to the firm’s building surveying teams.
