Workman has appointed two new Partners to its Building Consultancy team in response to increased market demand for specialist services across London and the North, as reported by Green Street News.

Keiran Melfi joins as Partner for the Northern Region, while Richard Kaye has been appointed as Partner focusing on Central London retrofit and ESG services. Both appointments reflect growing client demand for expert building consultancy services in major commercial hubs.

Keiran brings 20 years of commercial property experience to Workman, having previously served as Senior Building Consultancy Director at JLL Manchester. He will lead, represent and grow the Northern Region, coordinating services across Manchester, Leeds, the North-East and Scotland.

Richard Kaye joins from BNP Paribas Real Estate, where he was Director, and brings specialist knowledge in office retrofitting and ESG services. He has been a member of the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC) task group on retrofitting office buildings and advised on their guidance “Building the Case for Net Zero: Retrofitting Office Buildings.”

Richard’s appointment will strengthen Workman’s capacity to serve institutional investors and property owners pursuing brown-to-green transformation projects across Central London’s thriving West End office market.

Richard Taylor, Partner and Head of Building Consultancy at Workman, said:

“We are delighted to welcome Keiran and Richard to the team. These are significant and impactful appointments for the department which reflect the strength of demand we’re seeing from clients for specialist building consultancy services. Keiran’s extensive experience across the Northern Region, and Richard’s expertise in office retrofitting and ESG services, will help us meet increasing client requirements for expert technical advice combined with commercial insight. Richard and Keiran bring proven track records of delivering complex instructions for real estate investors”

Institutional investors and property owners are increasingly seeking expert support for complex building projects and ESG-compliant transformations. Both new appointments therefore support Workman’s strategy of strengthening its specialist capabilities in key commercial centres.
