Workman’s Building Surveyor Services team provide the full range of professional surveying services to clients.

 This includes:

Reinstatement Cost Assessments (RCAs)

We take an accurate and informative approach to RCAs, explaining how and why the figures have been calculated.

Working with the online tool, Building Cost Information Service (BCIS), we can perform Reinstatement Cost Assessments along with Uplift Assessments.

We also have experience with fire insurance reinstatement work, from localised repairs to complete rebuilds.

RCAs are often undertaken as part of a pre-acquisition exercise and included within the overall Due Diligence report. They can also be carried out either as a standalone exercise or as part of a portfolio-wide instruction to meet insurer’s requirements.

Party Wall matters

Our knowledge of construction, statutory requirements and associated risk enable us to take a pragmatic approach to party wall disputes.

The aim is to reach an agreement between the respective parties promptly supplementing this with the necessary documentation.

We assist with work for a property on the behalf of:

  • our appointing owner, or;
  • assisting our appointing owner where work happens adjacent to their property.

For instance, building owners and adjoining owners.

We also provide advice about crane over sail and scaffold licences as part of party wall matters. Additionally, we help with standalone instructions, acting as Third Surveyor.
