Established in 1983, Workman was founded to provide property management services to real estate investors seeking an enhanced level of service in a sector where this did not exist.
Workman has achieved this through specialising in the management of property to the exclusion of those services more traditionally associated with the multi-disciplinary practice such as broking, professional services, valuation etc.
In the late 1980s, building consultancy was added to the services provided by Workman to provide a unique combination that creates significant opportunities for investors.
In each of the firm’s offices Property Managers and Building Surveyors sit and work alongside each other, and both benefit from the complementary skill sets. This close working relationship ensures a more streamlined approach when undertaking refurbishment of multi-let properties and tenant negotiation, in general.
Sitting within our property management offering, Workman Retail & Leisure was developed in 2006 to offer a dedicated team providing specialist property management services on retail assets. Workman Retail & Leisure now manages over 90 shopping centres and 150 retail parks.
In 2008 Workman opened its first office in Europe, establishing a team in Paris within Workman Turnbull.
Having celebrated its 35th anniversary in 2018, Workman remains independent and focused on the specialist service offering that clients have valued throughout the firm’s history.
