On Thursday 15th June five of our fabulous Workman Retail team donned their trainers and took to the streets of London to carry out some serious ‘fun raising’. Caroline Main, Saagar Sachdev, Jen Marley, Christina Beggan and Sasha Armstrong all took part in the 5k race to GOSH as part of the One Great Day campaign, a ‘fun raising’ event for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
The team took the race in their stride and all managed to complete the challenge in very respectable times. As total novices to the running scene it was an amazing achievement to make the finish line, but more importantly, in doing so they managed to raise a fantastic total of £990 for Great Ormand Street Hospital, and a number of local children’s charities across the U.K in the process. The teams’ smiles stayed put from start to finish – and even remained for the post run drinks!
A massive well done and congratulations on behalf of everyone at Workman Retail to each one of the Fab Five for getting involved and making a difference, and a big thank you to everyone that sponsored the team.
If you want to play a part in fun raising for children, there is plenty of time to register your interest for next year’s One Great Day, it is free and great fun! Bring on 2018!
