As a professional services provider and an employer with corporate social responsibility, Workman recognises that the conduct of its business must meet the aspirations of its clients and the interests of the community in general.
Workman is taking a proactive approach to all aspects of sustainability through both our own business operations as well as the properties we manage and work on day to day. We are pursuing ISO 14001 accreditation for our business operations and have already introduced measures, from paper recycling to the Government ‘Cycle to Work’ initiative, to reduce our carbon footprint.
Our Property Management and Building Consultancy instructions are undertaken with regard to targets for reducing carbon emissions through training, awareness, product selection, specification and energy management.
Workman is alert to new initiatives and legislation, for example the introduction of Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) for commercial property. By managing the process of benchmarking property assets by EPCs and other similar property audits, such as BREEAM Assessments and Energy Audits, Workman is able to give focus and direction to commercial property owners and occupiers to improve their buildings' environmental performance.
